Your Student GWorld Mobile Card

Welcome to GW! All registered undergraduate, graduate, non-degree, consortium, and exchange students are eligible to receive a GWorld Mobile Card stored on your mobile device. 

New, First Year & Transfer Undergraduate Students

Set-up your GWorld Mobile Card at least one week before your summer 2025 Orientation session. 

New Grad, Online & Off Campus Students

You can se-up your GWorld Mobile Card when you have registered for at least one course. New student cards are available one month prior to the start of classes. 

How to Get Your Student GWorld Mobile Card

Follow these three steps.

Step 1: Take Your Photo and Verify Your Identity 

Pick one of these two options to start the set-up process.

Option A: Upload Your Photo  

This is the easiest way to set-up your GWorld Mobile Card .

Follow the Photo Upload Instructions

It will take up to two business days for the GWorld team to review your photo. You will receive an email confirmation when your photo has been approved. To set-up a GWorld Mobile card proceed to Step 2.

Option B: Come to the GWorld Office to Have Your Photo Taken

Come to the GWorld Office and bring your US government issued photo ID (ie: driver's license, passport, US visa, military ID, etc.). The GWorld Team will assist you in obtaining your GWorld Mobile Card.  

Step 2: Download the GET Mobile app

To set-up your GWorld Mobile Card and manage your card accounts, you will need the GET Mobile app. 

Instructions are the same for both Apple and Android devices:

  • From the list of institutions, select George Washington University 
    • Do not select the other GW option.
  • Login with your GW UserID and password. 
  • If successful, your name, photo, and George Washington University will appear at the top of the GET screen.
Step 3: Complete Your GWorld Mobile Card Set-up

Click on the option to add your card to your Apple Wallet or Android phone. You will receive confirmation when your mobile card is successfully added. Congratulations! You can now start using your GWorld Mobile Card!

Students Without an Eligible Mobile Device

Please contact the GWorld Office if you do not have a mobile device or you believe your Apple or Android device is not compatible with the GWorld Mobile Card. If you do not have an eligible mobile device, you will be issued a physical card.
