Photo Upload Instructions
The GWorld card is the official ID card for all active members of the GW community. Your GWorld serves as your university identification and must include a photo.
How to Set-Up Your GWorld Card
Upload your photo and set-up your GWorld Mobile Card before you arrive on campus.
All photos are reviewed and you will receive an email within 2-3 business days confirming if your photo is approved. Once approved, you will receive instructions on how to set-up your GWorld Mobile Card.
If your photo submission or government ID does not adhere to the guidelines, you will receive an email explaining the reasons for rejection and will need to start a new photo submission form.
Photo Requirements
- Color photos only. Black and white, or other variations of tones are not accepted.
- The photo should be taken indoors with a neutral, light grey or white background.
- Must be an individual, full front-facing view of your head and shoulders.
- Your eyes must be clearly visible. Glasses are allowed, but not sunglasses.
- Do not use filters.
- No objects can obstruct your face or head, including hats, scarves, masks, or hands. Exception: Religious head coverings are permitted. Your full face must be clearly visible.
- Additionally, no other objects or people can appear in the photo.
Once Your Photo is Uploaded: Verify Your Information
Submit a fully visible copy of your U.S. Government Photo ID (drivers license, military ID card, U.S. passport, non-license photo IDs). International students, faculty and staff must submit a copy of your U.S. visa.
